Following their emergence as the Champions of the Youth Trophy Cup of the just concluded TTD Super Cup in Dubai, the players of Buruj Sports Academy have returned to training ahead of their next international trips which will see them feature in this year’s edition of English Super Cup as defending champions, Spanish Cup in Spain as well as this year Lagos FA Cup among other competitions.
The Ikorodu-based academy who travelled to the United Arab Emirates beat all odds as they edged home team Precor Academy by 4-2 in penalty shootout. The final game ended 2-2 in regulation time.
While previewing the next assignments, the CEO of the academy Salaudeen Waheed, disclosed that ahead of those engagements, more players will be considered for registration.
He was also full of thanks to everyone concerned in the process of their triumph saying nothing will prevent him and his management team from exposing more players to win more titles this year.
He also called well meaning individuals to support the initiative of development of young talents from the grassroots, saying it is one way of curbing unemployment and hooliganism among youths in Lagos State and country at large.
