When Lagos RATTAWU HOLDS CULTURAL DAY IN LAGOS

May 21st, 2018, was a memorable day in the life of all members Lagos State Council of Radio Television Theatre and Arts Workers of Nigeria as the union ably led by Comrade Dare Durosimi, holds her world cultural day in Lagos.

The epoch making event with the theme’ The Role of Cultural Institution in the Promotion of Cultural Diversity and Inter-Cultural Dialogue for Peaceful Co-Existence’  was held at NAN Media Centre, Natioanal Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos.

Some eminent personalities were also honoured with awards, Ayangburen, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi  of Ikorodu, Ojora of Ijora Kingdom, Oba Fatai Oyeyinka Aromire were among very important personalities honoured that day

Professor Babawale Tunde, Former Director-General CBAAC delivered his lecture on ‘The Role of Cultural Institution in the promotion of cultural diversity and inter-cultural dialogue for peaceful  co-existence’ while Dr Yemi Bamgbose did justice to the topic ‘The Trade Union, the Government and Nigerian Culture. Mr.Emeka Mba, Former Director General, National Broadcasting Commission speaks on ‘The Role of media in the development of Art and Culture’.

Vote of thanks was made by the RATTAWU Na tional Auditor, Comrade Olorunmonu Olorunfemi.
