Talented and creative movie producer and actor, Abayomi Fabiyi and other top celebrities are set for 2 days Human Rights Summit & Rally, coming up on the 6th & 7th February 2019, at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja & Ojota/Ketu Market, Lagos for the rally.
According to the actor who is a convener and the president, in his official PRESS RELEASE made available to us said “Compliment of the season. Human Rights is a global course and key to achieving peace and development.
Meanwhile, Nigeria as a case study have a relatively low scorecard on Human Rights. Several national and international reports led credence to this. However, since Nigeria getting it right has a nexus to African development, stakeholders (Government, Religion organizations, media, NGOs, Human Rights experts/scholars etc) have roles to play in expanding the frontiers of human rights in Nigeria.
Consequently, as a vanguard of Human Rights myself, it is desiring to use my voice and platform like alongside other celebrities to raise the bar. Nigeria as a giant of Africa ought should take a leading role in Human Rights promotion and protection where the citizens and Non-Nigerians alike would be treated with dignity and respect.
This thirst to bring about peace and lasting development gives birth to the planning of HUMAN RIGHTS SUMMIT 2019 scheduled for 6th & 7th February, 2019 at Sheraton Hotel and Ojota/Ketu Market respectively with the Theme: SERIAL HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS; A THREAT TO NIGERIA’S PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT. This event is supported by many multi-national companies, individuals, NGOs and institutions.
The Keynote Speaker is the Country Director, Amnesty International (Nigeria), Mrs Osai Ojigho. The Summit Chairman is the Speaker of Lagos State, Rt. Hon. Mudasiru Obasa.
Special Guests of Honour are: Consul-General of United States and Germany to Nigeria Mr John Bray and Dr. Stefan Truamann.

The second day will be for a rally and a one on one market campaign and education in Ojota and Ketu axis.
It is our desire to have the attention of policy makers and government at all levels in Nigeria to rekindle the political will and machineries that will protect the citizens and invariably stop the constant human right brutalities in several law enforcement facilities across the country. Peace and real development must return to Nigeria in a very short period of time. Thank you
