The famous and Naija born gospel act, Dr Oluwarotimi Onimole popularly known as Oba Ara has hinted us the secret behind the title of his first album ‘Oba Ara’.
While chatting on phone with your darling Ojutole Blog, the creator of ju-fuji-gospel noted that his first album was initially titled To-mi-sona but he got direction from God while praying on Mountain known as ‘Ori Oke Ido Ajinare’ in Ekiti that the album should be changed from To-mi-sona to Oba Ara, which he obliged immediately, and album title latter became his stage name.
‘My brother, the title i suggested for my first album with my marketer was ‘To-mi-sona’ and we have agreed on that, but when i was praying on mountain, holy spirit told me to change it to Oba Ara, immediately i got home, i told my marketer about the development and he agreed with me.
It was when we released the album and it was sold out, then i knew God’s plan about it, i later adopted the title as my stage name till today’.
Oba Ara, who has got many honours both home and abroad is a native of Isale Eko from Onimole family and he has taken his music across the globe.
His last efforts was ‘New Lagos’ an album and video he released to enumerate many achievements of Lagos State Governor, Mr.Akinwumi Ambode.
